Animation
Review
The first step I took to creating my
animation was completing my pre-production tasks and documentation. I did this
by printing pre production documentation and filling it out, creating a plot, characters,
outline, storyboard and animation techniques for my animation.
The next step to creating animation
was recording footage for my video as I had chosen to use a combination of both
rotorscoping and frame by frame animation for my animation meaning, I would have
to record some footage for my rotor scoped animation.
Once the recording was completed I
then moved onto the next step in the production stage of the process, which was
rotor scoping, the first part of my animation. The rotorscoping part of the
process was the most time consuming part of the production of the video. After
rotorscoping I then moved on to the next style of animation, which was the
frame by frame.
After creating my animation. I then
took steps for the completion of my task and brief. The first step I took was
creating a questionnaire about my animation and photocopying it. After doing
this I then gave the questionnaire to some of my family members and friends and
they answered the questions on the questionnaire. The responses I received were
all very good and everyone enjoyed the animation.
The next step I took to completing my
task was receiving feedback on my animation from Raphael, a member of the THC
marketing Department. Raphael also really enjoyed the animation and answered a questionnaire. Raphael mentioned a few aspects to the animation that could be improved. An example of this would be the feedback he gave me on the duration of
some of my clips, I then utilized the feedback and then made the changes to the animation. After this the final version of my animation was created.
Overall the animation turned out
great, the project brief was great as we were able to incorporate different styles
and techniques into the animation. With the project brief we were using we were
also able to use a variety of software such as Final Cut and Photoshop to
create the animation.
Good. You have mentioned the feedback that you got from others and with some of the feedback you were actually able to identify the areas for improving the work. You might have been more thorough in the use of the feedback in other aspects. For example you could have explained what questions you asked and what some of the replies indicated. Was there a difference on audience reaction depending on the age group and gender from collected data? Well done anyway, you did a good job for the animation! Steve
