Animation Of Shapes

Animation Of Shapes

Today we created an animation of an arrow which moved across a screen, flipped and then went back to where it was after this I started a few extension activities the first was to make the animation of the arrow in the animation that I had just created to move much faster after this the next extension activity was to create shapes moving across a screen whilst not bumping into any of the other shapes. The task was easy however aligning the frames so that the shapes did not bump into each other became harder as the animation progressed with more shapes however overall it was quite an easy task.

The first thing that I did was create a layer consisting of an arrow made with the custom shape tool.  I also chose the colour of this arrow. I then converted that arrow into a smart object.

The next step was to actually animate the arrow I did so by creating a timeline, selecting the frame and then using the stop watch, key frames and locators to place the shape at the right moments in which I wanted it to start and stop moving. This was done by selecting the frame  then clicking on the stop watch tool and selecting the key frames and then moving the locators from the beginning of my animation to where I wanted the animation to end. I then moved the arrow. After this I had finished the task.

Next I completed the extension task in which I made the arrow move much faster. The extension task required for me to adjust my key frames by dragging them together and then flipping the arrow horizontally by transforming it.

I also did another extension activity in which I used multiple layers to create loads of different shapes moving across the screen without bumping into each other this was done by using the same steps used previously on the arrow activity however I lined up the key frames at different moments at some points so that the shapes would not bump into each other and also adjusted the opacity so that one of the shapes would disappear which makes the animation more appealing. Overall it was quite easy and the animation looks appealing.

This is a gif file of the animation. I think it looks cool , colourful and is entertaining.
