Unit 16 Research for logo 1

Research for Logo 1

I did some research on logos in my for my project. I did this by taking photos of logos in my environment and then drawing them out into my sketchbook.

Here are the drawings I created.

The reason as to why I chose these logos is because there is a wide variety of different logos to choose from and they are all quite unique.

The first logo is a logo for a clothing store called Joy. The logo consists of quite a lot of thick line work. It also has one stand out colour which is white, emphasis is put on the colour as it has been used all over the logo. The line work and the colour together create a nice balance and nice harmony.

The second logo is for a bowling business called All Star Lanes. This logo consisted of just one colour however the colour stands out as it is red and is used for most of the logo, quite a few lines
were used this alongside the smooth texture helped make the logo more aesthetically appealing.

The third logo I drew was for a vintage clothing store called Beyond Retro. This logo is one of my favourites as it consists of quite a few unique lines and one colour however, the two elements of design combined create a nice balance, nice harmony and a very aesthetically appealing logo.

The fourth logo I drew was a logo for a sneaker retailer called Fresh Laces. The logo is very aesthetically appealing as it consists flowing line work (this makes it look like a shoelace) and the texture is quite smooth which makes the logo more likeable.

The fifth logo I drew is a logo used for Disneyland Paris which is on a magnet in my house. This logo is my favourite as it consists of many different formal elements of design. The first is element used is colour which has been used all over. There is a wide variety of different colours used for this logo such as red, blue, green and yellow a mixture of primary and secondary colours. The tone of the colours is quite bright making it look more appealing. The texture of the logo is very smooth making it more likeable. The shapes used are very unique as they revolve around the famous Disney characters and the space has all been filled which makes it a lively logo.

The next logo I drew is the logo of and EDT that I own called Calvin Klein One. The logo is quite similar to the first logo however the logo looks slightly more serious and professional. The line has been used to create this. The next element used was colour which is white the helps enhance the logo looking more professional. The elements used have been used in a basic way however they created nice harmony and a professional looking logo.

The next logo I created was a logo on my Nike Huarache sneakers. Which is has been created using elements such as line. The line helped create the shape which stands out the most. The shape itself is very unique and aesthetically appealing. It is the combination of elements that created nice harmony and a aesthetically appealing logo.

The last logo I drew was a logo on a marker I own. This logo is quite unique as it consists of lots of different line work for the character. The logo also consists of two different colours which stand out as they are the only colours used. The texture of the logo is quite smooth and the shapes create the character.
